Venue Wi-Fi is not always event Wi-Fi

The building may have internet without giving your event the control, coverage or support it needs.

Conference organisers may need dedicated registration devices, exhibitor connections, presentation systems, production access and guest Wi-Fi. These requirements can exceed what a venue is willing or able to provide through its standard guest network.

A temporary managed network can sit alongside the venue infrastructure, use an agreed backhaul source and provide event-specific networks, credentials and support.

Common conference requirements

  • Registration desks and ticket scanning
  • Exhibitor and sponsor stands
  • Production office and event management
  • Speaker ready rooms and presentation devices
  • Press, streaming or content teams
  • Controlled guest access

Plan around the room use, not just the floor area

Device density, room construction, stage positions, exhibition stands and the venue network policy all affect the design. We confirm what infrastructure can be used, what must remain separate and who is responsible for support during the live event.

Temporary does not need to mean unmanaged

The service can include pre-event testing, documented network details, live monitoring and an engineer on site where the event risk justifies it.

Common questions

Can you work with the venue IT team?

Yes. We can coordinate on backhaul access, cable routes, IP requirements, permitted equipment and responsibilities before the event.

Can exhibitors have separate credentials?

Yes. Access can be separated by purpose, group or network depending on the size and control requirements of the event.

Can the network support live streaming?

Streaming requirements need to be scoped separately around upload capacity, redundancy and production expectations. It should not be assumed from a general Wi-Fi requirement.

Can you cover multiple rooms?

Yes. Multi-room coverage is planned around the venue layout, walls, available cable routes and device density in each space.

Can the service be installed before event day?

Yes. Setup and testing can be scheduled during the venue access window so the network is checked before registration opens.
